COVID-19 recovery rate in Zambales climbs to 88 percent

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The recovery rate related to COVID-19 in this province has increased from 84 to 88 percent within a month, local health data showed on Monday, Aug. 2.

At least 49 more patients were healed from the viral disease over the weekend, raising to 3,832 its total number of recoveries.

Fifty infections were added to the province’s data in the same period, which pushed to 4,316 its total number of COVID-19 cases since last year.

Among the new youngest patients are a 7-month old boy and three other children 9 to 13 years old. Seventeen new patients are 60 to 79 years old.
