415K doses of AstraZeneca donated by the UK arrive in PH

MANILA, Philippines — Some 415,040 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine donated by the United Kingdom government arrived Monday in the Philippines.

The latest vaccine shipment arrived past 4:30 p.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez and UK’s Ambassador to the Philippines Daniel Pruce welcomed the arrival of the vaccines.

Since February, the Philippines has now received over 34.2 million COVID-19 vaccine doses with the arrival of the donated jabs.

More than 9 million persons in the country have already been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
