MANILA, Philippines — The curfew hours in Metro Manila will be from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. once the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) takes effect on August 6, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos announced Monday.
Abalos said this was unanimously agreed upon by the Metro Manila mayors.
“Napagbotohan po ito at unanimous sila. Starting August 6, magiging 8 o’clock p.m. up to 4 a.m. ang curfew,” Abalos said in a press briefing.
Regarding a liquor ban, Abalos said the decision lies on the respective local government units (LGUs).
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier approved the proposal of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and mayors to place Metro Manila under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) from August 6 to 20, 2021.
