Palace: More than 9 million now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — Over 9 million individuals have so far been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Philippines, Malacañang said Monday.

“Mahigit siyam na milyon o 9,115,963 ang fully vaccinated na po mula kalahati lang po, 4 million noong buwan ng Marso o pagkaraan ng apat na buwan,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a press briefing.

(More than 9 million or 9,115,963 are already fully vaccinated from just 4 million in March or four months ago.)

Roque said 20.8 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, with 11.7 million given as first dose.

The Philippines has so far received a total of 33.8 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since February.

On Thursday last week, the country administered over 659,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses in a day, surpassing its target of 500,000 jabs daily.
