MANILA, Philippines — Starting Monday, all provincial and city buses no longer have to pay a terminal fee at Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade announced on Saturday.

“It’s important to me that our transport workers are vaccinated, since they travel to different places and they encounter different people every day,” Tugade said.

PITX is the country’s largest bus terminal and caters to 14 bus operators. Tugade made the announcement during the Department of Transportation’s vaccination drive for transport workers at PITX on Saturday with 1,000 transport workers receiving their first jab from the city government of Parañaque.

A total of 5,000 transport workers are targeted for vaccination with 1,000 transport workers to be inoculated every Saturday.
