Palace: Over 7.8 million Filipinos fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Over 7.8 million Filipinos have so far have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19,Malacañang said Friday.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the government has administered a total of 7,835,715 COVID-19 shots as the second dose, while it has administered over 11.5 million doses as the first dose, or a total of 19.3 million doses administered in the country.
“Inaasahan natin na maaabot natin ang target na 20 million doses administered bago matapos ang buwan ng Hulyo,” he said in a televised announcement over state-run PTV 4.
(We expect that we will reach our target of 20 million doses administered before the month of July ends.)
Roque noted that for three consecutive days, the government was able to surpass its daily jab target of 500,000, with 646,390 shots administered on Thursday alone.
