Gov’t work in Olongapo suspended due to heavy rains, floods

OLONGAPO CITY––Work in government offices in this city was suspended Thursday, July 29, due to rains spawned by the prolonged southwest monsoon.

Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. suspended work at the city hall starting 9 a.m., except for offices rendering emergency services.

Paulino reminded residents to steer clear of vulnerable areas and call 911 for emergencies.

The city has been experiencing a downpour since Wednesday evening that triggered widespread flooding.
