2 drug suspects busted in QC; P340K shabu seized

Siblings busted for ‘shabu’ worth P130,000 in Taguig City

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested two drug suspects who yielded an estimated P340,000 worth or crystal meth on Sunday in Quezon City.

Police Lt. Col. Florian Reynado, Commander of the Fairview Police Station , identified the suspects as Danniza Federizo, 30 and Aileen Velante, 43.

Reynado said an informant reported the illegal activities of the suspects to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit.

A buy-bust operation was carried out at around 1:30 a.m. of July 25, 2021 along Commonwealth Ave. corner Camaro St. in Brgy. Greater Fairview.

An undercover agent sealed a deal for P8,000 worth of shabu with the suspects who were eventually arrested.

Recovered from them were 10 sachets of shabu weighing more or less 50 grams, marked peso bills and the mobile phone used in the drug transaction.

“The suspects will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002’ while the confiscated pieces of evidence will be submitted to QCPD (Quezon City Police District) Crime Laboratory Office for proper examination and documentation,” the police report read.
