TAGBILARAN CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in Western Bohol has ordered the temporary suspension of all trips of small sea vessels since Friday due to a gale warning.

In an advisory, Ensign Edzel Gonzaga, commander of the Coast Guard Station-Western Bohol, said all watercraft with 250 gross tonnages and below were prohibited to sail within the western coast of Bohol province.

All fishing boats and other small watercraft that intend to take shelter shall be permitted as long as it is manifested through a written request.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said rough to very rough seas will be experienced in the seaboards of Luzon and the western and central seaboards of Visayas.

It also warned that sea travel is risky for small sea craft in these waters due to the combined effects of tropical storm Fabian and the southwest monsoon or habagat.
