TACLOBAN CITY — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Eastern Visayas (DSWD-8) donated 5,000 food packs to the province of Iloilo.
The aid was in response to the call of Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista to help areas experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases.
The food packs, which were delivered on Friday (July 23) to Iloilo, consist of 6 kilos of rice, packs of coffee, cereals, and canned goods.
“What we are doing is part of the agency’s ongoing relief operations for families affected by COVID-19,” the DSWD-8 said in a statement.
