3 succumb to COVID-19 in Tarlac, 2 in Aurora
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Three more patients in Tarlac and two others in Aurora succumbed to COVID-19, authorities from the two provinces reported on Friday.
The Tarlac COVID-19 Task Force said the three fatalities were a 14-year-old male from Bamban town, a 73-year-old woman from Capas, and an 89-year-old female resident of San Manuel town.
The province recorded 23 new cases on Friday, bringing its active cases to 572.
It registered a total of 8,917 cases since the pandemic broke out last year. A total of 7,940 have recovered while 405 have died.
In Aurora, the provincial emergency operations center said the two new fatalities were residents of Maria Aurora town.
Article continues after this advertisementThe coastal province recorded six new COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the total active cases to 28.
A total of 2,018 cases were registered in the province since the start of the pandemic last year, with 1,913 recoveries and 77 deaths.
