Tricycle drivers in Tagbilaran get vaccinated against COVID-19
TAGBILARAN CITY—Tricycle drivers in this city were vaccinated against COVID-19 at the Dao Elementary School on Friday, July 23.
Mayor John Geesnell Yap II said the program aims to give tricycle drivers extra protection while they are working.
Ruel Bernalisa, 45, decided to have his vaccine to protect himself from the virus.
“I have different passengers so I decided to be vaccinated to protect myself and my family as well,” he said in Cebuano.
Also included during Friday’s vaccination were national government agency employees and bank employees under the A4 category.

Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, multicab drivers, security guards, market vendors, delivery riders, and religious leaders will be inoculated on Saturday (July 24).
As of July 22, Bohol has already received at least 195,312 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government.
A total of 109,746 individuals were fully vaccinated, according to the Provincial Health Office.
As of July 22, Bohol has 1,249 active COVID-19 cases.
