DepEd launches tracer app for mentors
The Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday launched a vaccination tracer app for its personnel in a bid to encourage the contactless handling of their inoculation status.
According to the agency, the DepEd Mobile App will no longer require teaching and nonteaching personnel to input all their information manually, while all data may be used in crafting policies and addressing challenges in the national government’s vaccination program.
Timely, accurate info
“All the information collected will guide the department’s leaders across all governance levels in making appropriate decisions to respond to the ongoing pandemic. Only timely and accurate information can help provide appropriate solutions to DepEd’s concerns,” said Alain Pascua, education undersecretary for administration.
DepEd personnel may download the app through Google Play (android) and App Store (iOS), and upon logging in, they can provide their updated information about their vaccination, the agency said.
As of July 8, a total of 299,021 public school personnel have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, DepEd data showed.
This is 37.91 percent of the 788,839 eligible population in 15 regions. INQ
