MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation has nabbed a woman who allegedly posed as a staff member of some members of the House of Representatives and reportedly solicited investments for “business” purposes.

House Deputy Speaker and 1Pacman Rep. Michael Romero on Saturday urged individuals who may have been defrauded by the alleged con artist to come forward.

Romero said an “alarming number of individuals” contacted his office and claimed to be victims of the suspect, a certain Christine Lagrisola.

Romero referred a complainant to the NBI, which conducted an entrapment operation that led to the suspect’s arrest on Friday.
