LUCENA CITY—Police arrested two car-riding drug suspects in a buy-bust operation Wednesday evening in Sto. Tomas City in Batangas province.

The Sto. Tomas City police reported Thursday that anti-narcotics agents busted Marilou Santos, 37, and Marcelo Manaog, 38, after selling P2,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Poblacion 4.

Authorities seized five plastic sachets of shabu from Santos and six sachets from Manaog.

The police also seized the car used by the suspects, both residents of Silang town in Cavite province, in their illegal drug trade.

The suspects faced charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
