Philippines reports full vaccination of over 3 million vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The number of fully vaccinated persons in the Philippines has surpassed the three million mark, Malacañang announced Thursday.

“Mahigit tatlong milyon or 3,089,876 ang fully vaccinated,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in an online press briefing.

(More than three million or 3,089,876 are now fully vaccinated.)

Of the 12.4 million doses so far administered, 9,399,801 doses were given as the first dose as of July 7.

The Philippines has so far received a total of 17 million COVID-19 vaccine doses.

Over a million doses of AstraZeneca vaccines donated by the Japanese government will be delivered this Thursday night, the government said.

President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to welcome the arrival of these vaccines.
