CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — Police in Pampanga province arrested a woman in Sta. Rita town for alleged failure to return several cars that she rented.

Col. Norberto Delmas, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group officer in Central Luzon, said on Tuesday (July 6) that Myra Dizon was arrested in an entrapment operation along the Sta. Rita-Porac Road in Sta. Rita town past 9 p.m. on Monday (July 5).

Delmas said three police units–CIDG-Pampanga, Sta. Rita police and Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group Unit 3—planned and executed the operation against Dizon after the owners of five cars she rented filed a complaint against her for failure to return the vehicles.

The complainants had told the police that Dizon failed to return their vehicles despite repeated demands.

“The complainants, five of them, made several demands that she return their vehicles but to no avail,” said Delmas in a phone interview.

“They said the suspect presented spurious documents and represented herself as the owner of businesses that turned out to be owned by other persons,” Delmas said.

Police seized three units of Toyota Vios, two sets of allegedly falsified official receipts and certificates of registration and a PhilHealth ID bearing the suspect’s photo but with a different name.

Delmas said the CIDG-Pampanga will file charges of large-scale estafa against Dizon.
