Provincial hospital in Silay limits service after staff members contract COVID-19
BACOLOD CITY – The Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City has decided to accept only emergency cases after some of its staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said the arrangement remains until further notice.
“The TLJPH emergency and operating rooms will only be accepting emergency cases until a risk assessment is completed and they are confident that there are no more COVID-19 cases at the hospital,” he said.
Two more staff of the TLJPH, he said, tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday and Monday.
“Five other TLJPH front-liners and some members of their families tested positive for COVID-19 last week,” Diaz said.
The public was advised to coordinate with the hospital operations department before transferring their patients to the TLJPH.
