9-month-old baby among 47 new COVID-19 cases in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales —At least 47 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in this province over the weekend, authorities said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the youngest patient is a 9-month-old baby while the oldest is a 96-year-old woman.

Most of the new cases were exposed to COVID-19 patients, he said.

There are currently 449 active cases of people infected in the province, according to local health data.

The province has so far logged a total of 3,492 COVID-19 cases since last year and at least 2,962 of them had recovered from the viral disease, while 80 had died.
