Cops seize gun, ‘shabu’ from fish vendor in Pampanga
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—Authorities arrested on Saturday a fish vendor for alleged drug peddling and possession of an unregistered gun in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Sasmuan town.
In a statement, Pampanga police director Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay identified the suspect as Mario Dulay, 47, a resident of Floridablanca town, also in this province.
Thomas said joint operatives from the Sasmuan municipal police and 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspect that resulted in the confiscation of P23,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and a 9mm-caliber pistol without serial number loaded with seven live bullets.
The suspect faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
On July 1, the police arrested a 17-year-old female for allegedly selling shabu to an undercover lawman in San Manuel town, Tarlac.
In a statement, the Tarlac provincial police said the suspect was arrested during a buy-bust operation at Barangay San Vicente at 10:25 p.m.
