3 dead in Batangas road crash

LUCENA CITY – Two motorcycle riders and a car passenger died in a road accident in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas Friday night.
The Sto. Tomas police reported that motorcyclist John Paolo Lopez, 21, and his pillion rider, Carolina Lopez, 40, died on the spot when their motorcycle was rear-ended by the car driven by Jerick Guevarra in Barangay San Luis around 8:20 p.m.
The car later rammed the concrete wall of a covered court and a steel signage.
Guevarra fled after the incident and left behind his passenger, Jaime Guevarra who also perished.
Police said another car passenger, Bon Andre Dimaculangan, 41, sustained injuries and was taken to St. Frances Cabrini Hospital at the town center.
