Man in Subic Bay Freeport catches COVID-19 after attending funeral
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines — A 34-year-old resident here who attended a funeral outside the free port recently has tested positive for COVID-19, local health data showed on Tuesday, June 29.
The man was among the 21 active COVID-19 cases among residents here, according to the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA).
A total of 133 free port residents had been infected with COVID-19 since last year. Two of them died.
The latest to die was a 74-year-old woman who had tested positive for the virus on June 19.
But the SBMA said five patients whose ages ranged from 25 to 73 had also recovered from the viral disease on the same day, raising to 110 its total recoveries.
