14 new COVID-19 cases logged in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least 14 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Tuesday in this province, bringing the total number of its active cases to 627.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said they have not yet traced how 10 of the new patients aged 9 to 71 got the virus since they had no travel history or exposure to any COVID-19 patient.

Some of them have illnesses before testing positive for COVID-19. Most of them showed symptoms of the disease.

Four other patients, aged 22 to 66, were exposed to their infected family members or co-workers.

Bueno also reported that six more people had recovered from COVID-19, raising the total number of recoveries in the province to 2,672.

Since 2020, the province had listed 3,375 COVID-19 cases, of which 75 had died.
