LOOK: DOTr unveils driver’s cab model for PNR Tutuban-Malolos railway
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) unveiled on Tuesday the driver’s cab mock-up of the train for the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Clark Phase 1 project, which will be delivered to Tutuban Station on Wednesday, June 30.
DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade posted several photos of the driver’s cab mock-up on Facebook.
He said the mock-up aims to ensure and determine the effectiveness of the driver’s cab’s layout and functions, including safety and ergonomics.
The driver’s cab model is built by the Japan Transport Engineering Company and Sumitomo Corporation Joint Venture and is compliant to international standards of the International Organization for Standardization and Japanese Industrial Standards, according to the transport secretary.

The PNR Clark Phase 1 is part of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Project of DOTr which targets to lessen the travel time of 1.5 hours from Tutuban City to the City of Malolos to only 35 minutes.
