WATCH: Ex-president Noynoy Aquino celebrates last birthday with PSG friends
MANILA, Philippines — A video shared with INQUIRER.net shows former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III celebrating his last birthday with friends from the Presidential Security Group (PSG) and members of his household.
In the video, Aquino is seen blowing candles on his birthday cake in his Times Street house in Quezon City while surrounded by his PSG friends who also sang a birthday song for him.
Aquino served as the Philippines’ 15th president from 2010 to 2016.
The former president passed away in his sleep on Thursday morning. He was 61.
Aquino was laid to rest next to his parents—former Senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and former president Corazon on Saturday afternoon at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City.
The former president succumbed to renal disease secondary to diabetes as stated in his death certificate.
