MANILA, Philippines — Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a Quezon City bust that also yielded more than 1.3 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth), police said on Sunday.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the arrested suspects as Oden Dirindigen, 42; and Jocelyn Salundagit, 48. The two were nabbed during a buy-bust operation along Commonwealth Avenue, in Barangay Batasan at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
“An undercover cop posing as poseur buyer bought P190,000 worth of shabu from the suspects, and at the given pre-arranged signal, they were arrested,” QCPD said in a statement.
Seized were more or less 200 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1,360,000, along with the buy-bust money and the mobile phone used in the transaction.
Dirindigen and Salundagit will be charged in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 while the evidence will be submitted to the QCPD Crime Laboratory Office for examination and documentation.
