BACOLOD CITY – About 150 residents of this city gathered at the San Sebastián Cathedral on Saturday morning for a thanksgiving Mass for former president Benigno Aquino III.
Wearing yellow and black T- shirts, they offered flowers at the bell area of the cathedral in front of a streamer that read “Pasalamat Kay PNoy.”
Lawyer Andrea Si, one of the those present at the cathedral, said they want to honor Aquino for his humble service, decency, and love for the country.
“His (Aquino) passing reminds us of how much we have lost and how we must strive to be able to regain what PNoy stood so that we can save our country’s soul,” she said.
