MANILA, Philippines — Former Vice President Jejomar C. Binay mourned the death of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, saying that while they had “political differences”, it will not diminish the friendship between their families.

“Noynoy and I may have had political differences during the last few years of his term, but that will not diminish the many years of friendship between our families,” Binay said in a tweet.
