MANILA, Philippines—The majority of readers who participated in a poll conducted by the INQUIRER.net were satisfied with the “formal admonition” that political adviser Secretary Ronald Llamas received from President Benigno Aquino III after he was caught buying loads of pirated DVDs last January.

A total of 68.45 percent, or 4,593, of the polled readers agreed that it was just right for Malacañang to merely reprimand Llamas, while 31.55 percent, or 2,117, said otherwise.

A total of 6,710 readers participated in the survey.

On January 23, Llamas was spotted and photographed by the associate editor of Bandera tabloid (part of the Inquirer Group) buying pirated DVDs worth P2,000 in an obscure Quezon City mall.
