MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Sunday said the repatriation of overseas Filipino workers was not covered by the government’s extended travel ban on passengers from India and six other countries with outbreaks of the Delta variant of COVID-19.

“Let it be clear that Filipinos covered by the repatriation programs of the government and repatriation activities of manning/recruitment agencies cleared by the Bureau of Quarantine are not prohibited from entering the Philippines. They can enter the country, subject to testing and quarantine protocols,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
