ANGELES CITY, Pampanga––Four more residents in this city died of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the total number of fatalities to 289, the city government disclosed in its latest bulletin.
Those who died of the viral disease include a resident of Barangay Balibago, one from Pulungbulu, another from Sapangbato, residing in Barangay Sto. Cristo.
This city registered Thursday 40 new patients, bringing the number of active cases to 357.
As of June 17, this city recorded 6,319 COVID-19 cases, of which 5,673 had recovered.
Barangay Sto. Domingo, which borders the City of San Fernando, has the most active cases at 28, followed by Barangay Balibago with 23, Barangay Anunas with 22, and Cutcut with 21.
As of June 16, a total of 5,070 residents here belonging to the A1, A2, and A3 priority groups have been fully inoculated against COVID-19. At least 27,673 are waiting for their second dose of Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines. INQ
