Continue wearing face shields even outside hospitals, DOH Eastern Visayas urge people
TACLOBAN CITY––The Department of Health in Eastern Visayas (DOH-8) urged people to continue wearing face shields even outside the hospitals.
Dr. Exuperia Sabalberino, officer-in-charge of DOH-7, believed face shields help contain the spread of COVID-19.
“We will continue to use the face shield because the positivity rate in the region is still very high,” she said when asked to comment on President Duterte’s statement to allow people not to use their face shields except when inside the hospitals.
A division chief of the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC), who asked not to be identified, agreed with the President.
“It’s about time. I feel suffocated wearing the face shield,” the official said.
