‘Jueteng’ operation busted in Cauayan City; 7 nabbed

CITY OF CAUAYAN, Isabela—Seven people were arrested Tuesday during an anti-illegal gambling operation here, the police said.
The suspects were allegedly involved in the illegal numbers game “jueteng” in Barangay Minante Uno.
Major Joel Cabauatan, officer-in-charge of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Isabela, identified them as Paul Viernes, Volter Landicho, Michael Valle, Felicito Aguda, Mark Geron De Guzman, Raniel De Guia, and John Jefferson Corpuz, all of this city.
The suspects were allegedly part of the Tiaong Jueteng Group from Quezon province.
Seized from them were P52,400 cash and jueteng paraphernalia.
