NLEx bares schedule of partial closure of Meycauayan Bridge
MANILA, Philippines — The southbound portion of the Meycauayan Bridge will be closed to traffic from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. from June 15 to 16 and during the same hours from June 16 to 17, according to an announcement posted on Twitter on Tuesday by the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corp.
During the closure hours, work will be done on replacing a girder, the NLEx said.
Only one counterflow lane will be opened for motorists coming from the north, leaving northbound vehicles with only three lanes to use before and after passing the bridge.
Traffic patrol crews and marshals will be deployed and =directional signs will be put up in strategic areas, NLEx added.

The bridge spans the Meycauayan River, which is just a few kilometers before the Meycauayan Exit for motorists moving to the north. It has been under repair for a few months now.
Last May 20, the NLEx management appealed to motorists to be patient as traffic might slow down in areas near the bridge. Work on the bridge is expected to be finished in September 2021.
