4 drug suspects fall in Lipa City busts

LUCENA CITY—Four suspected drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations Monday and Tuesday in Lipa City.

Juan Ilagan and Roy Evangelista were arrested at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday after selling shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Banay-Banay, the Lipa City police reported.

The suspects yielded two plastic sachets of shabu. The police confiscated an Isuzu Jitney used by the suspects in their shabu trade.

Earlier, police also busted Segundo Palma Jr. and Rico Palma in another sting in Barangay San Carlos at 7:40 p.m. Monday.

Authorities found the suspects carrying four sachets of shabu. The police also seized an owner-type jeep believed used by the suspects in their illegal trade.

The suspects face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
