Notorious ‘weeds’ pusher busted in Quezon
LUCENA CITY—Police arrested a notorious “weeds” (marijuana) pusher in Calauag town in Quezon province shortly before midnight of Monday.
Major Lawrence Panganiban, Calauag police chief, reported Tuesday that anti-illegal drugs operatives collared Vergel Zamora, 31, at 11:55 p.m. after selling marijuana to a police agent in Barangay Sumilang.
Authorities seized five sachets of weeds worth P1,400 and drug paraphernalia.
The police report said Zamora is on the police drug watch list. Villagers had long complained of his illegal activities.
Zamora is detained and facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
