MANILA, Philippines — Manila City is hiring additional medical personnel to man the 336-bed COVID field hospital at Luneta Park.

Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, on Monday, said they constructed the field hospital in less than 60 days, pushing its opening to an earlier date on June 24.

The construction of the field hospital, which will cater to mild and moderate COVID-19 cases, started in April as cases surged and officials grappled to decongest health-care facilities across Metro Manila.
