Call center agent caught with P2.3M ‘shabu’ in Cabanatuan City

CABANATUAN CITY—A 43-year-old employee of a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company was caught with P2.3 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation here Sunday, June 13.

Col. Jaime Santos, Nueva Ecija police chief, identified the suspect as Sheryl Santos, a resident of Barangay Hulo in Sto. Domingo town, Nueva Ecija.

Drug enforcement operatives from the city and Sto. Domingo municipal police station conducted the buy-bust in Barangay Aduas Norte in this city after days of surveillance.

Confiscated from the suspect were three knot-tied transparent plastic packs and 11 sachets of shabu weighing 345 grams, two P500 marked bills and two digital weighing scales.

The suspect was charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002. ARMAND GALANG
