Armed drug suspect, 2 others busted in Quezon

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested an armed drug suspect and two others in buy-bust operations in Infanta town, Quezon province on Saturday and Sunday.

Police Major Joselito Araja, Infanta police chief, in a report said a team of anti-narcotic agents collared Aira Ballaran, 24, and her associate, Ferdinand Juntereal, 47, after the duo sold a pack of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover cop acting as a drug user in Barangay (village) Miswa around 11:50 p.m.

Authorities seized four plastic sachets of shabu with a street value of P40,800.

The police also confiscated a motorcycle believed to have been used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

Police also found Juntereal carrying an undocumented Llama caliber .380 pistol with seven bullets.

In another sting operation, police also busted Riodel Suapero, 20, at the town proper around 3:19 a.m.

Suapero yielded four sachets of shabu worth P10,200.

The three suspects were detained and are facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
