13 more PNP personnel in Central Luzon test positive for COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY–At least 13 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Central Luzon, local health data showed on Saturday.

According to the health service of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the new cases pushed to 281 its active infections.

So far, 2,246 PNP personnel in the region had been afflicted with COVID-19 since last year and many of them contracted the virus while on duty.

The same data showed that 1,329 of virus-infected PNP personnel in the region had also been cleared of the disease.
As of Saturday, at least five members of the PRO3 workforce succumbed to the viral disease.
