PDEA seizes ‘shabu’ worth P340K in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga –– Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested on Friday, June 11, two suspected drug peddlers and confiscated some P340,000 worth of crystal meth or “shabu” in Capas town, Tarlac province.
PDEA-Region 3 identified the arrested suspects as Vincent Faraon, 28, and Joey Dela Cruz, 41, both residents of Malabon City in Metro Manila.
The operation against the duo was carried out along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Estrada.
Undercover agents managed to buy a sachet of shabu from the suspects using a marked P1,000 bill placed on top of a bundle of “boodle money” (play money), PDEA said.
Some 50 grams of suspected shabu were allegedly confiscated from the suspects.
They will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
