Hotline tip leads to arrest of drug suspect in Quezon

HANDCUFFS arrestLUCENA CITY –– A suspected drug pusher was arrested in Tayabas City in Quezon province Friday after his former clients tipped off authorities using the police hotline.

The Tayabas police reported that anti-narcotics agents nabbed Roland Adrian Simon, 33, in a drug sting in Barangay Wakas at 1:10 a.m.

The police seized from him three sachets of shabu (crystal meth) with a street value of P7,000 and a motorcycle believed used by the suspect in the distribution of shabu to drug users in the locality.

The police said former clients called the hotline to inform them of Simon’s drug activities.
