Chinese trader nabbed in Cagayan ‘shabu’ buy-bust

TUGUEGARAO CITY –– A Chinese businessman was arrested Thursday, June 10, during a drug buy-bust operation in Sta Ana town, Cagayan province, police said.

Lt. Col. Andree Michelle Camhol-Abella, regional police spokesperson, identified the suspect as Lijun Cao, 38, a native of Guangzhou City in China, but staying in Barangay Visitation, also in Sta Ana.

The suspect was caught selling six sachets of “shabu” or crystal meth to an undercover agent, investigators said.

The police also found 27 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu worth P75,000 inside his car.

The suspect was charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
