COVID-19 death count now 22,190 with 126 more fatalities
MANILA, Philippines — The total COVID-19 death count in the country is now at 22,190, following the deaths of 126 more patients.
According to data from the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, total coronavirus deaths compose 1.73 percent of all the 1,286,217 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country, according to data from the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday.
Of the tally, 54,000 cases remain active, of which 1.8 percent are severe and 1.4 percent are critical.
Most COVID-19 cases are mild, covering 92.6 percent of all the active cases. Meanwhile, 3 percent are asymptomatic, and 1.22 percent are moderate infections.
Deaths reported from June 3 to 9 totaled to 1,033, or an average of 147 deaths logged per day, based on previous case bulletins of the DOH.
