3 in police drug watch list busted in Laguna

LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested three drug suspects, identified shabu (crystal meth) pushers, in separate buy-bust operations in Sta. Rosa City in Laguna province early Tuesday.

Laguna police said in a report that anti-narcotic agents collared Crisales Cayog and Joey Salazar after the duo sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer acting as a drug user in Barangay Pooc at 2:25 a.m.

The report said the suspects tried to escape after sensing that they were dealing with a police agent, but backup police frustrated them.

The suspects yield 11 sachets of shabu.

Earlier, at 12:10 a.m., the police busted Richel Tano in another sting operation in Barangay Caingin.

Authorities confiscated nine sachets of shabu from the suspect.

The report did not state the volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs from the two operations.

The police tagged the suspects as in the list of identified street-level drug pushers in their respective villages.

The suspects were detained and are facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
