PNP logs 127 new cases of COVID-19; total now at 25,070

MANILA, Philippines — An additional 127 police officers contracted COVID-19, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday, bringing total infections within its ranks to 25,070.

Of the total infections, the PNP health service said 1,744 are active cases as of June 8.

It has also recorded 195 new recoveries, bringing total recoveries to 23,257. The death toll in the organization, on the other hand, remains at 69.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health earlier reported that overall infections in the Philippines had reached 1,276,004 cases as of June 7. There are 58,854 active cases, 1,195,181 recoveries, and 21,969 fatalities in this number.
