BACOLOD CITY – Nonessential travel from Negros Occidental and other neighboring areas to Iloilo province will not be allowed from June 4 to 18.
According to Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor, imposing restrictions on non-essential travel within and into the province of Iloilo may help curb the spread of COVID-19.
Iloilo is currently experiencing a COVID-19 surge.
The province has 7,757 COVID-19 cases where 1,402 were active.
Defensor said only Authorized Persons Outside Residence, overseas Filipino workers, and residents of Iloilo will be allowed into the province.
