THE AIRASIA Philippine Patriots will try to keep their hold of the solo leadership in the standings when they face off against the Singapore Slingers today in the 3rd ASEAN Basketball League at the Singapor Indoor Stadium.
Despite winning their last three games, including against the erstwhile unbeaten Malaysia Dragons, 86-72, the Patriots are expected to meet strong resistance from the Slingers in their 4 p.m. showdown. The win over the Dragons improved the Patriots’ record to 4-1 (win-loss).
Aside from imports Anthony Johnson and Nakiea Miller, also expected to deliver for the team co-owned by Harbour Centre Mikee Romero and Tony Boy Cojuangco are Aldrech Ramos, Jonathan Fernandez, Ardy Larong and Al Vergara./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
