CQCU FC loses to Pachanga FC

THE CEBU QUEEN City United Football Club (CQCU FC) lost to Pachanga FC, 0-1, in yesterday’s United Football League (UFL) Second Division Tournament at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

But the Cebuanos had something to be proud of as they were able to contain the division leader to one goal despite having only 10 men left on the field.

Adlai Marcel Rivera was given a red card in the 28th minute of the match after earning his second yellow card.

CQCU head coach Mario Ceniza said Rivera’s exit may have affected the team’s performance.

Pachanga FC’s Alfredo Gonzales found the back of the net just a few minutes after the second half. With the win, Pachanga FC stretched its lead to 15 points, having won all of its five games.

CQCU stays at seventh place. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
