COVID-19 infects 35 more in Zambales; active cases now at 480

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales –– This province now has 480 active COVID-19 cases as 35 more residents were infected with the virus on Wednesday, June 2.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said among the new cases were 12 residents aged 60-84, who have comorbidities, and were exposed to their infected family members.

Two teens, who had tested positive for the disease, also got infected by their relatives.

The other new cases were four workers inside the Subic Bay Freeport.

To date, Zambales has 2,534 COVID-19 cases, 1,996 of whom had recovered from the disease while 57 had died.
